A SAFE PLACE TO CALL HOME
Give Me Shelter California Inc offers several programs specifically for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We can help you get legal ID so you can join a housing program, sign a lease, obtain employment, access medical care, and, if you have school-age children, enroll them in school. A mailing address allows you to receive important correspondence, and stay in touch with loved ones.

Medical Pop Ups
We provide temporary, mobile medical services to address basic testing, vaccination and mental health services
Document Assistance
Identification Document Assistance is available to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or those released from jail/prison within the last three months. Should you qualify, we will help you acquire replacement identification documents at no cost to you, including birth certificates, as well as social security cards, school records, and other supporting documents in order to help you obtain legal state ID.
Temporary & Permanent Housing
Provides services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, as well as to housed children, families, and adults who are low- and extremely-low income.

- Providing dignified, temporary and permanent housing aligned with California’s 2025 housing laws.
- Delivering personalized, wraparound support services—from mail access and document assistance to mental health, educational resources, and first-responder medical aid.
- Reducing poverty, improving childhood literacy, and advancing pathways toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
- Serving veterans, youth aging out of foster care, individuals returning from incarceration, low-income families, and others experiencing homelessness or extreme housing vulnerability.
Through mobile outreach and targeted community engagement, we bring vital resources directly to those in need—because building stronger, more resilient communities means meeting people where they are.
