Give Me Shelter California, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to building emergency tiny home shelters that provide immediate safety, dignity, and hope for veterans and people experiencing homelessness. No one should be forced to sleep on a sidewalk, in a vehicle, or in the open while waiting months or even years for affordable housing to become available.
Emergency Tiny House Shelters
Our Emergency Tiny House Shelters are thoughtfully designed to provide what matters most during a housing crisis: a safe, secure, and private place to rest.
Each shelter features a durable single-room design with secure locking doors, basic electrical service for interior lighting and charging mobile devices, and a steel-reinforced entry door with a deadbolt for added safety and peace of mind.
While these shelters are intentionally simple and do not include running water, they offer protection from the elements and a stable environment where individuals can begin rebuilding their lives.

A home begins with shelter. Our mission is to bridge the gap between homelessness and permanent housing by creating safe, secure tiny homes where people can stabilize, regain their independence, and begin rebuilding their lives. We believe that meeting basic human needs is not just an act of compassion—it is a responsibility. Every person deserves a safe place to sleep, protection from the elements, and the opportunity to move forward with dignity.

We accomplish this by designing and building emergency tiny house shelters that provide immediate safety, security, and protection for people experiencing homelessness, developing full-size tiny homes that create pathways to transitional and permanent housing, and operating mobile shower units that restore dignity, improve health, and provide opportunities for people to move forward.
We believe that everyone deserves more than survival they deserve the chance to thrive. A safe place to sleep and access to a hot shower are fundamental human needs that provide far more than physical comfort. They restore confidence, support physical well-being, and help people prepare for job interviews, medical appointments, housing meetings, and reconnecting with family and their community. These simple yet powerful acts of care help restore dignity, self-worth, and hope.

MOBILE SHOWER UNITS
We operate mobile shower units that restore dignity, improve health, and help people regain the confidence needed to pursue employment, attend medical appointments, meet with housing providers, and reconnect with family and their community.
Document Assistance
Identification Document Assistance is available to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or those released from jail/prison within the last three months. Should you qualify, we will help you acquire replacement identification documents at no cost to you, including birth certificates, as well as social security cards, school records, and other supporting documents in order to help you obtain legal state ID.
